Valarie Pickens

Valarie Pickens graduated from Hinds Community College with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in 1990. Valarie has twenty plus years’ experience in the Accounting field performing and in charge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Deposits, Cash and Credit and Internal Audits. She has a vast knowledge of corporate accounting as Valarie’s career began at CF Industries formally Mississippi Chemical Corporation, a hundred billion dollar global chemical producer of fertilizer and high end manufacturing products. Valarie also worked in accounting at Agriliance, where she was charged with preparing all types of loan documents for any and all loan request.
In 2000 she joined the Helton family company in their Premier Foods, Inc. division and was promoted intercompany to Action Properties, LLC in 2002 as a Financial Assistant in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Valarie also added Rental Account responsibilities to her role at Action Properties.
Valarie is a lifelong resident of Yazoo City, MS and is married to Richard Pickens and they have one daughter, KaRaye. Valarie and her family are active members in the First Baptist Church of Yazoo City, MS where she has served on many committees.
